The Northern California Neveda Conference sent out the following:

Greetings Sister and Brothers of the Northern California Nevada Conference,

This is a very exciting time for our conference as we seek to continue to be a faithful and progressive witness here in California, Nevada and beyond. You know we are in a time of transition. As we look to meet the challenges of ministry here, and under the wonderful leadership of Phil Hart, our Interim Conference Minister, we have sought your input through the Local Church Needs Assessment Survey.

After careful study of your responses, the council has put together the attached document for restructure of our Conference Staff. This suggested restructure is being done to better meet our churches' present needs and to be good stewards of the resources you so generously give.

But the work is not done, for we desire further input from our Staff, Associations, Churches, lay people, and Authorized Ministers. It is our plan to create a final draft of this Restructure at a Council Retreat scheduled for January 27th & 28th. Therefore, we would like to hear your thoughts as quickly as possible on this document. What do you like; what concerns do you have; what changes would you make, etc. We are asking that you have conversation in whatever manner works best for you and respond if at all possible by the week of January 23rd. After the final draft is prepared by council, we will again send it to you for your thoughts and then the final design will be made in February. We know this is a limited amount of time, but we feel it is necessary to obtain your thoughts, insights and discernments in this process. It is our hope you can set aside some time to join us in this work.

We pray that God continues to bless you as you lift up your prophetic voices with boldness, reach out to the marginalized with welcome and compassion, and proclaim the Good News that we have received from Jesus the Christ, to your communities!
